Download RStudio. RStudio is currently only available for Mac OS X 10.6 or higher. Click on RStudio for Mac OS X 10.6+. Click on the appropriate file corresponding to Mac OS X. This will again bring up the save file dialog. The TeX User Group does not run the distribution servers; they are maintained by an entirely separate organization called CTAN. Complaining to us that your download always fails is a waste of time. MacTeX is a very large package. If your network is noisy, you might want to try downloading and installing BasicTeX. MiKTeX's integrated package manager installs missing components from the Internet, if required. This allows you to keep your TeX installation as minimal as possible (“Just enough TeX”).
